If you wanna read a book and enjoy a pint, that’s cool, too! We’re just here to serve the best beer we can in a space that’s safe and welcoming to all. So, at the end of the day, how you use it is how it’s meant to be enjoyed.
About Us
Ambitious Ales started in 2012, in the happy hungover days after a trip to the Oregon Brewers Festival ignited our passion for craft beer and left us wondering: could we make beer? So, we tried and found we could! It wasn’t good, but we could!
With each brew we tried to learn and improve. We tinkered with our processes and tested better ingredients and slowly upgraded our infrastructure. In 2019, we opened the doors to our very own brewery in Bixby Knolls, Long Beach, at the historic Tuttle Cameras building, which was originally constructed in 1941. And to this day, we’re still testing, experimenting, and trying to make the best beers we can in a space all can enjoy.
If you’re wondering if we ever got any good, you can trust the GABF medals or you can come in and see for yourself. We think you’ll find something you like, but we’re happy to talk about it regardless!

Yep! Friendly Dogs are welcome & must be on a leash at all times.

We don’t offer flights, BUT we do offer 6oz pours for each beer!

We have a daily collaboration with Thunderbolt Pizza (right next door!)
Thunderbolt Pizza can be ordered via the QR code from our tables! Their staff will bring your food right to you. Please make sure you do not leave your table or sit somewhere else if you are expecting food. Please direct any food questions towards our friends at Thunderbolt.

We do! We have rotating weekly Frozen Squishees (with alcohol), our house made Amaro, and a variety of NA options; including sodas, lemonade, house made cold brew coffee, and NA beer!

No Wine, No Seltzers, No Liquor, No outside Alcohol. We reserve the right to confiscate any opened containers on premise. Only sealed containers of Non-Alcoholic beverages are allowed.

To-Go beer is for To-Go only. We reserve the right to confiscate any opened beer cans on premise. This goes the same for wine, liquor or any outside alcohol. We offer 16oz 4-packs, 16oz singles cans (build your own 4-pack!), and bottles (sometimes, depending on availability.)
