SCUBA STEVE! DAMN YOU!

Scuba Steve - XPA brewed with Experimental D5-055 and Mosaic. Collaboration with Hollingbery Hops  5.5% ABV

Our good friend Steve from @hollingberyhops wanted us to brew up a fun hoppy beer with a new varietal being grown in Yakima called D5-055 for this year's harvest. It’s super oily and packed full of tangerine and citrus notes. We paired it up with some very nice Mosaic. The resulting beer is dry, with a firm bitterness and just exploding with juicy orange notes to keep you coming back for more!

CLIMBING MOUNT EVEREST

PURE PROJECT x AMBITIOUS

Climbing Mount Everest - West Coast Pils with Citra, Citra Cryo and Strata Abstrax 5.5% ABV 

We met the Pure Project team earlier this year and bonded over some very cool tools we share with energy savings and controls for our cellar. A few months later we decided to collab and brew two different beers; one at their spot and one at ours!

Climbing Mount Everest is a clean banger of a WC Pils! We snagged up some very nice California grown Pilsner malt from @admiralmaltings for the base and packed it with some really punchy Citra and Citra Cryo along with a nice pop of Strata Abstrax Hop Oils! The beer drinks super crispy and pops with fresh pomelo citrus, nectarine and a nice dankness.

DETECTIVE CRASHMORE - Hazy IPA with Super Sauvin, Citra Hyperboost, Citra, Nectaron Cryo and Kohia Nelson - 7.0 % ABV

Collaboration with our dear friends at @movementbrewing <3

It’s a Cosmic Mix of Citra Hyperboost, Nectaron Cryo combined w/ the exploitation hops of Citra, Super Sauvin and Kohia Nelson. It’s kind of a Cosmic Gumbo of ultra ripe Mango, Honeydew Melon and Apricots and it almost moves to the beat of Jazz.

We are partnering with our neighbors @belcantobooks and @kubo.lb to host our 4th Boozy Book Fair in our Backlot Beer Garden on Sunday September 14th from 12-5pm! Think Scholastic Book Fair, but with adult beverages!

Award Winning Long Beach Brewery

Ambitious Ales is a microbrewery that aims to build community by providing unique beer that brings people together and a tasting room that is a hub of community engagement. 

Our brewery is the creative expression and passionate work of 5 friends who seek to build upon the success of the craft beer community. Our journey into the world of craft beer was built on friendship and strengthened by the support of our family and friends. We have witnessed the power this craft has to bring people together and we aim to use it as a way to connect our community. 

Our approach to brewing is grounded in our value as a company to push the boundaries. We reinvent classic beer styles with unique ingredients that engage craft beer enthusiasts and those new to craft beer. 

We have chosen to open our brewery in a 71 year-old building in the beautiful community of Bixby Knolls. The building has an iconic reputation in the community that we plan to build upon. It was important to choose the right location because community is the foundation of our business.  Breweries dating back to colonial America were gathering places where people would strengthen relationships, discuss ideas and promote community agendas. Ambitious Ales aims to reestablish the historical role of a brewery as a social connector and community asset.  We don’t just want to operate IN the community; we want to operate WITH the community.
